Message w/o the pictures.
Today was the last day of spring training baseball. Good thing, too, because it is starting to get very hot. Earlier this week a woman in the area celebrated her 105th birthday by throwing out the first pitch at one of the games. This is her second year! We all pray she'll be around next year too. She wouldn't let them drive her out in the golf cart, and she insisted that whomever was keeping her steady on her feet let go and let her stand on her own. All I can say is, "GO MAUDE"! There is a birthday party for her today, and it's open to the public.
Unfortunately, my pc still has a mind of its own, and I can't display the great pictures I have of this event.
We park on the second level of the garage for the spring training games, and one day spotted a beautiful bloom on one of the fan palms. It looks like a white Bird of Paradise. The pod is a deep blue, and when it opens, it gives a beautiful blue rim to the bloom. God's creation is so amazing. We would never see this flower from the ground.
