We are retirees who love to travel the world. Since 2000, we have been to Austria, China, London, Paris, Bankok, Canada's Maritime Provinces, The Netherlands, and sea to shining sea of the US. We have lived in Florida since 1980, have 3 children and 5 grands. Life is Good!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I didn't realize how long it had been since I updated our blog! We returned to our home in Tequesta and hit the ground running. In addition to getting ready for a house full at Thanksgiving, we had the usual maintenance of cleaning the roof and setting things straight. Even with our miracle helper, Penny, there is dust and stuff to attend to. Thank God there were no hurricanes to clean up from.
It was so nice to see our children and grands in Nov. Everyone is taller than we are now. That leads to kinks in the neck. Didn't get to see Ian; he's settling in at Auburn very well land is caught up in the tailgating at football games. Don't ask me what is going on - he wears an orange jump suit and is somehow involved in a party tent. It sounds like fun - for kids.
We were back in our camper for Christmas. We took it to Robbie's driveway in Lakeland for 2 nights. It was a time of opening presents and enjoying the kids. Robbie and I made our usual trip to Publix to buy the half-price baking supplies and some fruitcake. I overdid it last year and didn't need much.
Our next trip out will be the end of Jan.; a long 25-mile drive up the the St. Lucie Locks in Stuart. Someone must have cancelled a reservation, because we NEVER get a place on the water up there before April.
It is said life is like a roll of toilet paper; the older the roll, the faster it heads toward the end. Just 5 short months and we will be back in NC at the park. It's really a special and favorite place of ours. No plans to go west or cross the Atlantic this year. That being said, there are some pix of Buddy that I enjoyed posting. He has adjusted really well to our family and all the confusion. He seemed a bit lonely when we returned home because he has such good friends among the rangers and staff at New River. Then the kids deserted him after Thanksgiving and he roamed from room to room looking for someone to give him attention. He loved being in Lakeland, but he and Ashley's cat Shady didn't hit it off at all. Poor Shady stayed in the bedroom, under the bed whenever we were in the house.
May 2010 be happy and prosperous for one and all. Look forward to hearing from you.
Hope this wasn't you on New Years Day.
Waiting for Santa
Still waiting......
