Holland

The flats of flowers are at the flower market in Amsterdam. We had to rise very early in the a.m. to see the bidding/purchase of the flowers. Within 24 hours the flowers have reached their destinations all over the world. It was an amazing thing to see. This is one of many fields of tulips in bloom. In another week, the blooms are cut off, and the bulbs are harvested for sale around the world. Of course, no trip to Holland would be complete without seeing the windmills. These are still in operation and occupied by families that keep them going.
