It's been quite a while since the last blog. While in Montana, we faced the truth that we would have to buy a new truck or take a Greyhound bus home. So now there's debt but safety and assurance that we will get where we are going without any more breakdowns. After our time in Montana, we decided to get a glimpse of Oregon (I've never been there). We drove along the Columbia Gorge , camped for 3 days and did some sightseeing along the coast - which reminded us a great deal of Hawaii, toured the Tilamook Cheese factory, and viewed some magnificent waterfalls. Then reality set in - we were 3,000 miles from NC and due here by Sept. 1. Wanted to come East on a different route, and we are very glad we did. Instead of S. Dak., we drove through Nebraska. It's really beautiful, and we even found a state park not too far off the beaten path, which gave us an evening of peace and relaxation. Now we are enjoying the NC mountains in our little corner of the world.
