Hi! We're back!

Buddy & Bob at SD rest stop.
Buffalo outside our door.
After some costly truck repairs, we arrived in Gardiner, MT. This is the northern (and the oldest) entrance to Yellowstone National Park. After visiting with the owners of the Rocky Mtn. Campground over the 4th of July, we proceeded to Bridge Bay campground, in the middle of the Park, where our neighbors from Tequesta work in the summer. They got us electric & H2O!!! So we enjoyed a week there, spotting a big gray wolf in the LaMar Valley, and a total of 3 grizzlies in the Hayden area. One night, Buddy started growling while looking out the door. We figured he saw a squirrel or one of the little birds that feed on the seeds in the plants. NOT!!! It was a buffalo not 4 feet from our door! We passed thru West Yellowstone on our way NE, and Buddy got to ride his own buffalo!

After a week at Bridge Bay, we proceeded to Hungry Horse, MT, where we have been ever since. It's just outside Glacier NP, but we have hookups, which have been important since it's been in the 90's almost every day. That get rougher than we like at our tender age with no a/c or fans. Nights cool right down, and that is a treat we won't get in Florida until November - maybe. Out truck problems didn't diminish, so we bought another truck this week. Instead of hiking and soaking up the beautiful glacier lakes and the mountains, we are getting a trailer hitch installed and dealing with all the hassles of car dealer promises/performance. It hasn't been really bad; it's just a nuisance. And we do feel more confident that we will make the trip East without too many snags. We are due at New River State Campground Sept. 1st.
Our friend in Tequesta, who helps us take care of our house says Buddy's name needs to be changed to Reilly (as in life of). TTYL
