The Blue Moon 8/31/12

A blue moon occurs when there are two full moons in one month. Last night's was a blue moon. It was obscured by clouds until after 11:00 p.m. I was outside in my nightgown, using the truck as a tripod to take my pictures. Our blue moon was gold due to all the smoke in the atmosphere coming this way from Idaho.
