North Carolina VS Florida in January

Our friendly ranger at New River State Park sent us pictures of the frozen New River in North Carolina.... Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr After six-year-lows (36 in the morning for 3 days/highs in the 50's all day), we are back to our wonderful Florida winter. We are relieved that we have once again put away our few winter sweaters and jackets and donned our lightweight "winter" clothes. That's why we live here. Doesn't matter how far we travel or how cool we are in the summer, we love our Florida weather in the winter. Flowers in bloom, green grass, swaying palm trees. Another s----y day in paradise.

Hey there Allisons,
The cold up here in the mtns has been brutal this year,,even I have worn lined slacks and double layers. Most days the weather hasn't been fit for man nor beast, but it has eased up some..went walking lots this past wk end.
