We are retirees who love to travel the world. Since 2000, we have been to Austria, China, London, Paris, Bankok, Canada's Maritime Provinces, The Netherlands, and sea to shining sea of the US. We have lived in Florida since 1980, have 3 children and 5 grands. Life is Good!

Lesson 1: NEVER TRAVEL THE FIRST WEEKEND IN NOVEMBER.....NEVER. Canadians are allowed 6 months out of the country and can maintain their citizenship perks, namely healthcare. Ergo, Nov. - April, with their dollar stronger, they are in Florida. Lesson 2: Use your speed control. It saves a lot of gas, it cuts down on fatigue, and you will arrive sooner than those travelers zooming by you at 75/80 mph. Geez, you'd think that Florida sunshine will only last a few hours. Lesson 3: Spend the money on a good night's sleep and a decent meal. If you can't afford one night in a clean motel or a nice campground, what are you going to do for the next six months???? These suggestions apply to I-95, and our friends tell us I-75 as well. If you like winter sports, now's the time to go to Canada, New York or Mich. They are empty. All that said, we arrived home w/o mishap. Ran out and bought lunch yesterday, which we took down to the Jupiter Inlet and ate as the boats and water drifted by. Love the mountains, love the ocean. Life is good.
